The video was good I could see the puddle but after every pass or weld you should showed the plate so we could actually see the result it would give a better understanding, the video was good but it was not sweet enough in my opinion

Buy a harbor freight pipe bender too. 16 ton version. Learn to bend pipe while in school. Theres vids on here on how to mark out the pipe . If you know pipe bending and notching, buy a core bore machine used. Learn the height of hand rails/gaurd rails and youll be surprised at how many thousands you can make. And it's EZ. Drill weep holes. Grocery stores and whatnot have to have their railings in working order and in top shape or they can get fined and sued hard . Start making money doing that and then buy a heavy duty drill press and band saws, Miller bobcats, etc. Team up with your classmates then talk to a business development career center and shoot for a business loan. "Make sure you have liability insurance and health insurance ". And don't drink cause .......you'll see alot of drunks welding and their hands are shaking so damn wildly it looks like there being electrocuted and their welds suck, plus their dangerous. They can't even be trusted welding a freaking pad eye.

Never trust your regulator. Check it with a gauge always and you just might be surprised how much off it is telling you.. Then set regulator after checking to double the aize of the cup, maybe plus 2. And learn to concentrate on the heat input,you can see it, around the weld pool. You will have to fuck with balance and shit to tighten it up. When you start seeing the heat inpt spread out,let off the pedal"never fast" but slowly. Then you'll start learning how to own that stainless shit and aluminum! I went to school there in Jacksonville in 2009-10. This is the shit you learn after in the real world. And try and fuck around before class or after learning some fab skills cause that will help you on your resume! Learn to notch pipe while you're there! I'd apply there cause I have been teaching but I'm not standing in front of no class. Field teaching only. So everyone go on amazon or "Baker's Gas " and order a gas regulator check. Fits right over your cup and too much gas will fuck shit up. Same with too little. "Acetone" "Never ever dunk/dip your tungsten and think you'll slide by cause you'll only be fucking yourself. And watch "Pacific Art" on UA-cam. Trust me! "Pacific Art when it comes to anything TIG related. .

Am alumni and Tulsa has been a game changer in my life. Highly recommend if you need trade I went into welding and my life has dramatically gotten better

trying to get an understanding of the wire angle and puddle action for flux core vertical welding... your camera from the side and a lot closer would help

You are teaching the right way. My instructor in high school taught me the same way by running stringer beads. He did not allow wash passes because mastering stringer beads will help you when you move on to learn pipe.
